The Pastoral Council of the Church of the Ascension assists the Pastor
in all aspects of the life of the faith community by:

• Consulting with and advising the Pastor
• Representing the parishioners’ interests to the Pastor
• Assisting the Pastor in parish administration through recommendations and active cooperation
• Being a forum where ideas are acted upon
• Reviewing and recommending the parish and school budgets
• Identifying needs and setting goals
• Performing tasks to assist in the smooth administration and operation of the parish
• Working with other religious, civic, business and professional entities for the commonwealth

COMPOSITION
Ten members elected to serve three-year terms.
Four members appointed by the pastor to a one-year term.
And ex officio members of the staff (non-voting).

MEETINGS
The third Monday of September, November, January, March, May and June at 6:30 p.m.
unless that is a holiday then on the following Monday.
